Synopsis
Fiction born of fact.
On a remote island, 13-year-old Orla navigates a world transformed by rising seas and mass migration. When survivors wash ashore, the island community faces impossible choices about shelter, resources, and survival. Told from the perspective of Orla and her fellow schoolfriends, the group discover that the island hides a Cold War secret deep underground. As a government recovery team arrives, Orla must decide what to do with this inherited power, forcing her to become something the island has never seen - not a survivor, but a leader.
