Synopsis

Fiction born of fact.

On a remote island, 13-year-old Orla navigates a world transformed by rising seas and mass migration. When survivors wash ashore, the island community faces impossible choices about shelter, resources, and survival. Orla discovers the island hides a Cold War secret. As a government recovery team arrives, Orla must decide what to do with this inherited power: hoard it, weaponise it, or share it. She chooses neither fortress nor tomb, but refuge.
